MEMBERSHIP AT CALVARY

What does it mean to be a member of Calvary? We aren't a club, and there are no monthly dues. Rather, membership is an honor-based agreement that congregation members make as a commitment to their church.

We at Calvary believe that this is an important aspect of being a believer in the body of Christ, as you'll see below.

Requirements & Expectations

To become a member of Calvary, we request that you:
  • Have received Christ your Lord and Savior.
  • Have been baptized by immersion as a public profession of faith.
  • Agree that you are in support of Calvary’s vision, mission, strategy and structure.
Becoming a member of Calvary Baptist Church is a personal commitment to God and other members of Calvary by doing the following:
  • Promote and protect the unity of my church
  • By acting in love towards other members.
  • By refusing to gossip or engage in divisive behavior.
  • By supporting the vision, mission, and leadership of Calvary.
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 Peter 1:22-23.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Ephesians 4:29.

Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their works will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Hebrews 13:17
