Calvary's Leadership Team

  • Caleb Wilson - Lead Pastor

Caleb Wilson joined the Calvary leadership team as Lead Pastor in June 2022. Originally from Brookfield, Missouri, Caleb is married to Megan and they have two young boys, Brooks and Beau. Caleb holds a B.A. in Expository Preaching and Pastoral Leadership from Boyce College, and a M.Div. in Church Leadership from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served over 10 years in churches in Indiana, Kentucky, and New Mexico.

Caleb and Megan are passionate about the local Church, spiritual growth through teaching and discipleship, and being active in the community. The Wilsons love sports (Geaux LSU...and Go Aggies!), being outdoors, hiking, running and cycling, and taking the boys all over town to practices.

Caleb's prayer for Calvary is that Christ will make His home in our hearts as we trust in Him. That our roots will grow down into God’s love and keep us strong. And that we'd have the power to understand how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ and be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God (Eph. 3:17-19).

  • SAM SWANN - Associate Pastor OF dISCIPLESHIP AND EDUCATION

Sam Swann rejoined the Calvary leadership team as Associate Pastor in September 2023. He leads Calvary’s Discipleship and Education Ministries. Having served over twenty years as a Youth Pastor (including here at Calvary from 1999-2007) and sixteen as the State Missionary for Student Ministry including three years as the Team Leader for the Leadership Development Team at the Baptist Convention of New Mexico he returns to the local church ready for a new challenge.

Sam believes, whole-heartedly, in the ministry of the local church and the important mission the Lord has commissioned her to do. He understands the importance of spiritual formation and the need for being a disciple and making disciples. His prayer for the church is that we would all be “filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that [we] may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power…” (Colossians 1:9-11)

He plays guitar and sings (what youth pastor doesn’t play guitar?) drinks a lot of dark roast coffee, enjoys running, plays a little golf and is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. He is married to Brenda and they have 5 kids, 4 in-law kids, and lots of grandkids.

  • VERONICA CORDER - CALVARY KIDS director

Veronica Corder has been a member at calvary since 2011. She has loved teaching at Kids N Christ preschool since 2012. She enjoys having adventures with her 3 children and husband, teaching Zumba fitness classes, volunteering with the youth group and attending kids camp here at Calvary.

  • michael lOYOLA - dIRECTOR OF WORSHIP AND MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES

Michael Loyola joined Calvary in 2021. Though born in Texas, he spent most of his childhood in Iowa where he first felt the Lord calling him into ministry.  He has been on staff at various churches since high school, serving for 10 years in many areas and roles including Worship, Youth, Young Adult, Production, and Communications.

Michael is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels comfortable to be able to enter into worship on Sunday mornings and can be continually encouraged to worship our God throughout the week. He enjoys chasing the perfect cup of coffee, finding hidden vintage clothing, and partnering with various churches around the country to write and record their own music.

Michael's hope for Calvary is that we all continue to learn how to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) in all of our actions, from our corporate gatherings as well as our day to day activities.
