Fall News! 

 

I would like to welcome you to the start of a new Fall Semester here at Calvary’s D:6 Ministry. I am excited about the many opportunities your child will have to grow in Christ here at Calvary. I look forward to working with you and your children and watching them grow closer to God and understand His Word. We will have many opportunities to reach out to our community here in Las Cruces over the coming months and I invite you and your children to take part. Global Impact Celebration is back! This is a great opportunity for you and your family to see God’s hand in mission work. The dates are Wednesday, September 29th-Sunday, October 3rd; look for more information in the coming weeks.

Things To Know!

 

 

August childcare night is Friday the 27th, 6:00-10:00pm. $5.00/child not to      exceed $15.00/family.

There will be a training from Group Publishing here Saturday, August 7th from 9am-11am. The topic will be Reaching Children With Special needs. If you are interested call 522-7900.

 

 

 

We are in need of Sunday school teachers! There is a spot in the 3rd grade class and the 5th grade class during the 11:00 service. If you are     interested please talk to Heather.

Super Sunday postponed

  Last year we scheduled a Super Sunday every month, this fall we are postponing our Super Sundays and evaluating how well these Sundays functioned and if they served the purpose we were hoping. They may  return in the spring, but look a little different!

 

Awana 

Awana will be starting up again on Wednesday, August 25th. During Awana boys and girls are taught the word of God and to memorize it. This is to prepare them to fulfill the great commission. Awana will meet on Wednesday evenings, 5:30 –7:30 in the Youth Chapel. Awana is for children ages 3yrs-6th grade. We are in need of a few volunteers, if you are willing to help boys and girls learn God’s word, please contact Wes Richins, 644-5440.

 

 

   
  

Game Night!

   On Friday, October 15th  we will have a game night for kids in 1st thru 5th grade. Just bring some fun board or card games and your favorite snack and come play! We will provide drinks. The time is 6:30-8:30pm. For more info call Heather or Marian at 522-7900.
