Welcome to Calvary!

CALVARY IS A PEOPLE AND PLACE OF G.R.A.C.E .

No matter what you've gone through, or what questions you have, we want you to be part of  a family striving to extend love, grace, and mercy to everyone.

SUNDAY AT CALVARY

Calvary's services take place at 8:30, 9:45, & 11:00am

  • Calvary Baptist Church of Las Cruces is located on 1800 S. Locust St. just south of Missouri Ave. and a few blocks North of the NMSU Campus (University Ave.).

  • PARKING

Calvary has parking on the North and South sides of the building. We invite guests and the elderly to take advantage of the North lot (most visible from Locust St.) as it gives quick access to the Worship Center, Welcome Center, and Café.

However, we invite our guests with children to utilize the South Lot (just opposite the Youth Chapel/ lawn), as it leads directly to the Children's Wing entrance and Check In.

  • During the 9:45 and 11am services, Families can drop off children (babies through 5th grade) at the Children's Wing on the South side of the building for safe, age appropriate learning and worship where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

Parents can check their children in at the Children's Welcome desk just inside the building's Southern Entrance.

  • 6th-12th grade students  gather for Nine Twenty Two Student Ministry (named for 1 Corinthians 9:22) in the Youth Chapel on Sundays during the 11am service.

Pastor Nate Alaniz also encourages the students to engage in morning worship at 9:45am with the full congregation in the Worship Center on the left side of the room (facing the stage).

We believe that if anyone is going to change the world, it’s the next generation.  Nine Twenty Two is designed to be a place where students can connect with God, with other people, and have fun.

  • COLLEGE STUDENTS

During the school year, college students meet Sundays at 9:45am in Rm. 32 for a bible study. Calvary has an active group of university students that meet regularly for worship, fellowship, and discipleship who often attend the 11am Sunday morning service.

Calvary also supports Christian Challenge, the Baptist campus ministry to New Mexico State University.

    GO AGGIES!!!

  • DISCOVER CALVARY: An INTRODUCTION TO OUR CHURCH

Keep an eye out for Discover Calvary, a three week class where people new to Calvary can meet and learn about our church vision, ministry opportunities, and what next steps to take. Discover Calvary classes are offered at different times throughout the year.

Guests, new members, and those considering membership are also invited to the Discover Calvary Lunch offered every few weeks. This is a free catered lunch at Calvary following the Sunday Services where you can meet the pastors, learn about Calvary's vision, and what it means to be a member of Calvary.

Please contact the Church Office for more information about Discover Calvary and Discover Calvary Lunches at pastors@cbclascruces.org.

  • Who are the people who care most about you; who you can laugh or cry the hardest with? That’s what community is all about—doing life with the support of people around you.

Calvary hosts an array of small groups and short term classes that range from weekly Bible studies and sermon discussions, to topical subject focused classes that meet throughout the year.
