"Rather, train yourself in godliness, for the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come."

This class will use Phil Yancey’s book, “What Good Is God?” to examine the times when we are in the deep crevices of our lives and ask, “What good are you God?” Yancey’s book examines ten different situations encountered in the world, ranging from tragic to the challenging.

We’ll examine through scripture, “What good is God” in the most challenging experiences and we’ll apply these to our lives where each of us has been challenged by this question.

Rm. 11

Most people slip by in life without a passion for God, spending their lives on trivial diversions, living for comfort and pleasure, and perhaps trying to avoid sin. This study will warn you not to get caught up in a life tat counts for nothing. It will challenge you to live and die boasting in the cross of Christ and making the glory of God your singular passion. If you believe that to live is Christ and die is gain, attend this study.
