D:6 children's ministry

Every Sunday at 9:45 and 11:00 am, all children (babies through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

What is d:6 ?

Our children's ministry approach comes from Deuteronomy 6:4-7 which talks about keeping God’s commands before us every day, no matter what we do as a family!

The D:6 ministries desires to mold children into loving God with all their heart, soul & might by partnering with parents. Our goal is to help parents understand the need to instill God’s Word in their children and live out God’s commands in daily life with one another. We would like to have families that are excited about becoming disciples of Christ and sharing this excitement with friends and neighbors.

Your First Visit

If it's your first time at Calvary,  just follow the signs to our children's area. One of our volunteers will help get you and your little one ready for a great time! We will meet with you, check your child into our database system, and lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

We will ask for the following personal information: family members' names, children’s names and birth dates, address, phone number, email address and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

D:6 Children's Check-In

You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In addition, we'll provide you with a pager if you would like, allowing us to notify you immediately should your child need you.

what we value

  • creative bible teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

  • relationships

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

  • age-appropriateness

Our environments and lesson materials are presented in a way your child will understand. We are passionate about your child meeting Jesus on their level.

  • safety

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel.

  • fun!!!

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting.
