The offering was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board).
In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU's first national executive leader. Today, more than $2 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals to support thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries.
Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.

CBC Missions
Whether we're sending our mission teams from the active congregation or supporting missionaries going out from our church, you can help support all of our mission-focused activities.
You can give directly to our CBC Missions Offering, and the money given will go to support mission trips and help support missionaries on the field!

The Benevolence offering supports a fund that the Calvary Deacons have the access and discretion to use on a case-by-case basis when people come to Calvary seeking financial assistance. Through this fund, the Calvary Deacons have been able to provide food, shelter, a month's rent, or even electric bill payments and other needs for community members and church members alike.
The Benevolence fund is entirely separate from the Calvary General church budget.

Founded in May of 1919, New Mexico Baptist Children's Home is the longest continuously operating residential childcare facility in New Mexico. The goal of NMBCH has always been to make a difference in the lives of the children God entrusts to our care. The dedicated Christian staff is focused on the task of encouraging each child to become a well-adjusted and responsible individual. This includes guiding children in their growth physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially.
