College is a huge and important step in a person's life, and we here at Calvary want to celebrate that step and come alongside students as they navigate this next chapter of their lives!


Whether you're a local student, or someone relocating from another city or state, we'd love to welcome you to our church community! Calvary offers several different ways you can connect. Whether it's plugging in with students at Christian Challenge, an on-campus college ministry, or plugging into one of our small groups or ministries, there are plenty of ways to connect with people of various ages and experiences.

Quick info about calvary

We meet for Worship together on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am


Classes, small groups, and children and student ministries take place following the service at 10:45 am


During the fall and spring semesters we have Wednesday Night Discipleship events including dinner with our church family, classes to attend, and ministries to serve in


Our office hours are 10 am-4 pm on Mon-Thu, and 10 am-2 pm on Friday

Christian Challenge


Christian Challenge serves as one of Calvary's on-campus collegiate ministries. The Director of the Christian Challenge, David E, attends Calvary and serves as an Elder, and several other staff members also attend Calvary and serve in different roles.


The Christian Challenge hosts several events throughout the year. It also provides different Bible studies and ministry opportunities. If you'd like to learn more about this ministry you can click here!

Who to connect with

Below are several key people you can connect with here at Calvary who can help you figure out where you fit in with church as well as on-campus life. We're all here to help make the transition to college life as easy as possible so please come and chat with us!

  • Mike works at Calvary as its Director of Youth Ministries, and runs the church's social media pages. He has worked at Calvary for eight years including several years in collegiate ministry and serves as a point person to get college students connected to various ministries.

  • Emily B

    Emily is a graduate of NMSU and works in the front office at Calvary. She also volunteers her time with the tech team for Sunday morning worship, and has attended several different small groups in her time here at church. Emily is an excellent bridge to get to know people and encourage involvement in various ministries.

  • David serves as the Director of the Christian Challenge here in Las Cruces. He also serves on the Elder Team here at Calvary. David has worked with college students for over 30 years and can help get you involved with Challenge events and ministries, as well as point you in the right direction with people here at Calvary!

  • Sean serves on staff at Christian Challenge and also serves on the Elder Team at Calvary. He has plenty of connections with the college students both at Challenge and at Calvary and will be able to help introduce you to like-minded people to ease the process of integrating in our church community!

Calvary is located just up the street from NMSU!

We're about a 20-minute walk from the campus, or just a couple of minutes if you're driving.
